Whether you know or not, Korea now negotiate with USA to grant Free Trade Agreement. If this agreement goes well, it might be a win-win game for both countries. However USA continues to export cows which have high possibility of mad cow disease. What do you think of USA's arbitrary and dogmatic attitude toward other countries?

I'm not the kind of person who thinks of things to take to a certain place in advance, not because I think it's unnecessary, but because I tend to forget how important all this is.
But well, paying attention to Phileas Fogg (the main character of one of Jules Verne's book, whose motto was "always prepared"), I will think of what I would include in my emergency kit.
Lots of water (it's the main element that sustains our bodies).
Some fruit (I know it would spoil, but it's only intented to last three days or less, and it's a great source of sugar, which would keep people in a not so bad mood).
Cereal bars (they last a lot and are very nutritious).
Books (because I'd want to keep my mind off the situation).
Clothes, both warm and cool, to face any kind of wather.
Soap, deodorant, toothpaste and other higiene elements to stay as clean as possible.
A flashlight, as I have no idea if the shelter I'd be going would have light or not.
A lighter, because the man on the listening said something true: matches get wet, and when they do, they're ruined for good.
Aspirins, bandages and other very basic first-aid goods.
A backpack, of course, so I don't have to carry everything in different little bags.
A mobile phone, to try to make contact with my loved ones and see if they're fine.
Many pairs of socks, because if my feet got wet and cold, I could get ill very fast.
An umbrella, in case hard rain or hard sun lingers after I leave the shelter.
Finally, I would take one of those things whose name I never remember, the ones that include razor, scissors, knife, etc. The ones you imagine a boyscout wth, and are generally form Swiss Army.
That's all, I reckon, and I wouldn't need to go out of my town or to the Internet to get any of those things. Actually, apart from the mobile phone, I believe I have them all.

PS: I don't know if it would be right to include this in the list, but something essential, is to be with somebody who is close to you, so that you don't feel alone and unprotected.
