- About Me:
- My name is Jiyeong Bae and nice to meet you. I study English Literature at Sogang University. I am not very good at English, but I will try to do my best in this class. Besides, I want to have a good relationship with other students and improve my English skills.
I am interested in photography. I really like taking pictures and keeping moments. I have several cameras and some are even older than me. With digital camera, I can take very clear pictures. While I can get very nice pictures which have unique feeling with film camera. Besides, I like the feeling when I push the shutter of film camera, so I prefer film camera.
I also like traveling. I got great experience through traveling to see and learn other countries and made friends. In this class, I want to talk about our culture and share other cultures from all over the world.

Language difference based on cultural background
When we watch the TV, we can find that a lot of foreign people are in a trouble using high form. High form is a style of language form to convey respect or honor to other person. Besides, some of my friends from other countries asked me why we use high form. They told me that they didn’t have to use high form when they talk with people, because everyone is equal all over the world. So, I began to think that there might be cultural differences behind the language difference.
